The Cambridge Rocket Club hosted it’s 5th launch of the season on Saturday June 25, 2024. The weather finally co-operated and we were greeted with blue skies, lite winds and moderate temperatures. We has 19 model rocketeers and guest fliers show up we also welcome ne CRC member Harold Bartz. Our club founder, Gary White showed up and he gave away a large number of rockets for members and guests to take home and fly.
The theme for the launch was cluster rockets and we managed to successfully fly 5 of the 6 that lifted off. Our biggest cluster rocket successfully ignited all 7 engines. In total we launched 61 model rockets including a few boost gliders, two stage and camera rockets. By the end of the day we burned a total of 88 model rocket engines, everything from an “A” motor to a “G” motor. The total theoretical impulse was 1,568 Neutons. Great fun was has by all.
