On account that our June 22nd launch was postponed one week and then cancelled the following week due to poor weather, the Cambridge Rocket Club hosted a short notice mini-launch on Monday July 1st, Canada Day. The weather included clear skies, temperatures in the low 20’s and winds gusting up to 20kph. I was please to see that four members joined me on the field to take advantage of this opportunity. We brought our own launch pads and proceeded on a casual pace. We ended up launching 23 model rockets which is an excellent showing considering all of the above. We flew everything from A to F engines including a couple of two stage rockets and three on-board camera rockets. In total, we burned 25 model rocket engines with a theoretical total impulse of 423 Neutons.
I would like to thank John Pershick, Alex MacKinnon, Harold Bartz and Bob Dorcas for joining me for this launch. We all had fun.
