On Saturday June 8, 2019 the Cambridge Rocket Club hosted it’s fifth launch of the season. The launch was held at the LS5 Launch site, Mohawk Road as our primary site LS-2 – Paisley Road is still too wet for us to access. The temperatures were mild, however the winds gusted up to 25 KPH which deterred many members from coming. Five of us were in Michigan competing in a Can-Am event.
A total of four members launched a total of 15 model rockets, burning 16 model rocket engines with a total impulse of 273 Newtons. For the first time that I can recall, we recovered 2 more rockets than we launched. Two models were recovered from trees that were lost at previous launches.
