We completed a very successful Cambridge Rocket Club launch on Sunday April 22, 2018. The Paisley launch site was in good condition considering that it was covered with ice pellets during last week-end storm. There were small patches of snow on the ground and there were isolated wet spots in the field. The weather conditions were ideal for this time of year. The temperature reached a high of 15 C and the winds varied from 5 to 10 kph under a bright blue sky.
We had a total of 23 members and guests at the launch site throughout the day with 10 members launching a total of 54 rockets and 3 radio control rocket gliders. A total of 64 model rocket engines were burned from “A” to “G” motors for a total of 2,068 Newtons. A great time was had by all that participated and we look forward to even better times as the temperatures rise.
