On Saturday June 25th, the Cambridge Rocket Club completed its fourth scheduled launch of the season under ideal weather conditions. The winds were very lite, 30-degree temperatures and a clear sky. We had a total of 18 flyers show up including three guests as well as 17 spectators.
We managed to launch a total of 79 model rockets, 1 boost glider as well as one radio-controlled rocket glider. We also managed to fly some scale rockets, multi stage rockets, cluster rockets as well as models with on-board video cameras. Most of the models landed relatively close to the launching area due to the lite winds.
The high-lite of the day was the annual A.8-3 Parachute spot landing contest sponsored once again by the Canadian Rocket Store. As was the case last year, the target was located near the launch pads and we had some really close results (refer to attached results). Congrats to our three winners receiving gift certificates of $75., $50. and $25. The winner also has his 2023 CRC membership paid for.
By the end of the day we managed to burn a total of 97 model rocket engines with a theoretical total impulse of 2,112 Neutons.
