The Cambridge Rocket Club hosted it’s first launch of the year on April 13, 2025. We were greeted with ideal seasonal weather. The temperatures were mild, the winds lite under a blue sky. We had an excellent turn-out for our first launch including 14 members, 3 new members and 4 guests. We also welcomed a number of spectators.
We managed to launch a total of 60 model rockets including two stage models, 2 and 3 cluster engine models, on-board camera models, mid-power models, scale models, chute release models, models with altimeters and a boost glider. Our success rate was very high with a few malfunctions and no lost models thanks to the lite winds. We ended up burning 69 model rocket engines with a total theoretical impulse of 1,515 neutons. A good time was had by all.
