On Saturday October 23, 2021, the Cambridge Rocket Club successfully hosted it’s twice postponed 10th launch of the season. The challenging weather finally co-operated with mild winds and cool temperatures under a mostly overcast sky. We had a good turnout with 13 model rocketeers and 11 guests showing up for our penultimate scheduled launch of the season.
We managed to launch 36 model rockets with engines ranging from “A” to “G” impulse. The rockets included a couple of two stage rockets, a 3-stage rocket, a cluster rocket and a rocket with an on-board video camera. We were also joined by grade 8 S.T.E.M. students from Silverheights PS in Cambridge for their inaugural model rocket project launch. By the end of the day we managed to burn a total of 42 model rocket engines with a theoretical total impulse of 1,425 Neutons.
